Posted on July 23, 2011

A number of tech experts gathered for a panel to discuss how to hire for IT jobs in Chicago, among other tips.

CEOs will share their experiences related to hiring and growth in a TechWeek panel discussion titled, “Hiring for Growth – Five Chicago Tech Founders Share Their Stories,” taking place in Chicago on July 22nd, 2011 at 2PM at the Merchandise Mart.

While the outlook on Chicago jobs may be cloudy, the experts are gathering to shed some light on the tech market.

Moderated by Adam Robinson, Co-Founder and CEO of Hireology, this panel features Chicago technology entrepreneurs Troy Henikoff (Excelerate Labs, SurePayroll), Sam Yagan (Excelerate Labs, OKCupid), Jack Philbin (Vibes Media), Ajay Goel (JangoMail), and Will Scott (Lextech, Waer Systems), who will share their experiences with hiring and managing new employees as they grew their business during their first few years in business. Attendees will hear about mistakes that were made, discover the approaches that worked, and absorb the lessons these successful Chicago technology CEOs learned along the way.

“The technology community in Chicago is exploding with growth and ideas, and it’s great to have the opportunity to share this panel’s amazing experiences with our audience as part of TechWeek 2011,” said Adam Robinson. “This discussion will focus on every entrepreneur’s #1 operational issue – how do I hire my first employees?”

“Your company’s success depends on your ability to recruit and hire the right employees,” said Ajay Goel, CEO of JangoMail. “I look forward to sharing my experiences – good and bad – with our audience of startups and growing technology companies.”

The panel discussion will take place at Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, Conference Room B, on July 22nd, 2011, from 2:00 – 3:00pm. All registered TechWeek attendees are welcome to attend.
