A recent increase in orders has led one Illinois company to pick up the hire and hire for service technician jobs in Chicago.

AAA Appliance Service Center, in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, has received such an overwhelming number of service requests, they have had to expand their team of repair service technicians.

With the economy in a reinvention phase, more people are choosing to have things they own repaired instead of replaced when there is a problem or breakdown. Whether it is cars, clothes or household appliances, people are using the repair strategy to conserve cash. (more…)

A popular grocery market said this week it plans on hiring hundreds for cashier jobs in Chicago, among other positions.

Mariano’s grocery, which opened a store at 333 Benton Place in the Lakeshore East Development, is looking to fill 450 full time and part time positions.

The store is a part of Roundy’s supermarkets. This store opening marks the fourth store of its kind. (more…)

Aon Corporation is reportedly recruiting for human resources jobs in Chicago.

The company has roughly 1,400 job openings related to benefits outsourcing, human capital consulting and actuary sciences.

The boost will bring lots more Illinois jobs.

According to a new index, executive jobs in Chicago are climbing at a healthy pace.

Managerial recruitment activity showed a gain of 9.4 points in August, following a downward slide over the past three months, according to the new CareerCast.com/JobSerf Employment Index. The August 2011 Index, which measures managerial hiring activity online, has risen to 107.6, a mere 5.3 points higher than it was a year ago in August 2010.

“The effects of the current economic uncertainty may not be fully understood until later in the year,” says Jay Martin, COO, JobSerf. “Though the gains in August are welcome, the current economic climate could delay actual hiring decisions.” (more…)
